Humanitarian Services

CLC has extensive operations experience managing emergency shelter and case management services.  CLC is currently contracted by the New York City Department of Homeless Services to operate a 56-unit sanctuary shelter at the Bogart Hotel in Brooklyn, New York for homeless asylum-seeking families with children. The program offers comprehensive social service support, including intake assessments, case management, individualized living plan (ILP) development, shelter exit planning, structured socialization activities, and referrals to health and human services in the community.  CLC is also currently subcontracted by the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation to staff and manage relocation case management services at 14 New York City HERRC migrant shelters.​

 

CLC also provided case management staffing and operations support in response to Superstorm Sandy and the COVID-19 pandemic.  In the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy, we deployed 50 case managers to assist impacted New York City families and businessowners to navigate the process of securing aid to rebuild their homes and businesses.  During the COVID pandemic, we placed and managed 75 case managers and support staff in New York City COVID quarantine hotels to provide assessment, social, food and other essential services to COVID-infected patients transitioning from overcrowded New York City hospitals.  We also deployed 175 case managers in New York and Rhode Island to provide client eligibility assessment and application processing services for federally funded, pandemic-related mortgage assistance and rent relief programs.
